Clearwater Parenting Plan Lawyer
Tampa Visitation Attorney
In recent years, the Florida legislature has incorporated the creation of parenting plans into decisions surrounding child custody and visitation. A parenting plan is a document that allows parents to discuss issues such as time spent with the child and primary residence, and work out a solution that fits the needs of the parents as well as supports the best interests of the children.
I am Tamara K. Holden, a Clearwater parenting plan lawyer. Through my firm, I make it a priority to tailor each parenting plan to the needs of my clients. I understand that each client and every case is unique, and I work to provide open and honest communication throughout your case.
The laws in Florida have seen changes in recent years to become more gender neutral. This was done in an effort to give parents more equal time with the kids. We all understand the importance of the parent-child relationship and will work diligently to ensure the best interests of the children are protected.
Parenting Plan Options
Mediations involving the creation of a successful parenting plan will cover a wide variety of child custody, child support and visitation issues, including:
- Shared responsibility (joint custody) or sole responsibility (primary custody) of the child: Who will be the primary caregiver for the children? Who will make decisions regarding education and health care?
- Time sharing schedules: When will the parents spend time with the children? How much time will each parent receive?
- Means of communication: When will parents and children be able to call, e-mail or otherwise communicate with each other on a regular basis?
- Location of pick-up and drop-off: How will you arrange picking up and dropping off the children?
These, and many other, questions will be addressed through mediation. Representing clients during mediation with a mediator, I have guided several clients through this process. My clients count on me for a realistic approach to mediations that allow for compromises that are beneficial for both the parents and the children involved in the divorce.
